Herman "Buck" D. Straughter, Jr.

Herman “Buck” D. Straughter, Jr., 71, of Charleston, WV, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2019, at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston, WV. He was born August 28, 1947, in Charleston, WV, to late parents, Herman and Elle Mae Straughter.

Herman was an army veteran in the Vietnam War. He retired from the Department of Highways.

In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannah Straughter.

Those left to cherish Herman’s memory are his wife, Barbara A. Straughter, sons, Cheko R. Straughter, Bryant (Cindy) Harris and Dorian Straughter, daughter, Nicole Straughter, brother, James R. Straughter, sister, Barbara L. Straughter, grandchildren; Jalisa Straughter, Jamar Jones, Makaya Straughter and Brylyn Harris, great grandchildren, Alaijah Smith and Naziah Moore.
