DeaneYell Montinette Henry, 47, of Rand, WV, passed away September 12, 2020, after a sudden illness.
"Monti", as she was affectionately called by her many family, friends, and loved ones, was born November 30, 1972, in Princeton, West Virginia, to Vera Cecelia Gore and the late Larry R. Henry. She moved with her family from Princeton to Rand at age seven. She attended Malden Elementary and DuPont Junior High School. A 1991 graduate of DuPont High School in Belle, Monti later completed studies in massage therapy. She graduated from Mountain State School of Massage in Charleston.
Given her professional drive and tireless work ethic, Monti spent a number of years in the workforce that began while in her teens with the Summer Job Program of Kanawha County, and later as an adult, she worked at Chilton Research, the Kanawha County Bureau for Child Support Enforcement and Macy's department store. At the time of her passing Monti was a fulltime caregiver for her mother, Vera Cecelia "CC" Gore. She had a passion for helping others. Per Monti’s wishes, her giving spirit will live on through her selfless gift of organ and tissue donation.
In addition to her father Monti was preceded in death by her stepfather, Melvin E. Gore, maternal grandparents, Fred and Willie Smith, paternal grandparents, Wayne and Ella Mae Henry, step grandfather, Roosevelt Gore, sister, Kisha Cobb, aunts, Annilee Haden, Patricia Gray, and Cheryl Harman.
