Obituary
Frederick E. Hicks Jr., 64 of Charleston, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord February 11, 2023. He was born in Charleston to Marva Coleman Hicks and the late Frederick “Zeke” Hicks, Sr. Frederick was a beloved son, father, PawPaw, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Fred was a graduate of Charleston High School and immediately after graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served 14 years and became a certified mechanic.
Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Pamella J. Hicks, who passed in 2007, and his finance, Andrea "Poo" Letlow, who passed in 2022.
Fred is survived by his children, Monica Rogers (Andre), and Tyrone Robinson (Michelle), five grandsons, one granddaughter, five great-grandchildren, loving mother, Marva Hicks, brother, James “Pee-wee” Hicks, sisters, Mary Hicks, Irene “Necie” Hicks, and Dionne Beverly, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
