James Alexander Claiborne, 58, of Brooklyn, NY, peacefully went home at CAMC Memorial, March 14, 2022. He was born September 28, 1963, to the late Bernard Claiborne and Fannie Mae Gore.
Affectionally known by many as Alex, James was a graduate of the Williams H. Taft High School Educational Campus in Bronx, NY, and worked as a cook at West Virginia State College. He also was a janitor at Kanawha Services and Dow Chemical Plant in Institute, WV. James loved spending time with his family.
James is survived by his two daughters, Kiana Boyd (Devin), Mt. Laurel, NJ, and Jamie Claiborne (Jarae), Charleston, WV, grandson, Jarae Mosley, Jr., Charleston, WV, ex-wife, Karen Claiborne, Charleston, WV, brothers, John Gore, Jefferson, WV, Douglas Claiborne, Bronx, NY, Carl Claiborne, St. Albans, WV, and Burdette Gore, Charleston, WV, a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
