Mark Elliott McDaniel, 48, of London, West Virginia, was called home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 4, 2022. He was born April 28, 1974, to Gloria McDaniel Thompson and Donald “Poochie” Grooms, Sr.
Mark was baptized at an early age under the pastorage of the late Rev. David Smith and became a member of the First Baptist Church of London, WV. He attended Dupont High School, class of 1992, and WV Junior College. Mark was a service worker for United Parcel Service (UPS).
From an early age Mark loved the sport of football and baseball. He was an all-star player from little league throughout high school. Mark also coached little league football and was dearly loved and respected by the children.
Mark loved vacationing with his family at the beach. He also loved his family and friends and was always doing things to help anyone in need. Moreso, Mark loved bringing smiles to the lives he touched. On July 4, 2022, he fulfilled his vision to bring family, friends, and the community of London together again by hosting a picnic at his home.
